Log-in information was sent home today so that students can access Raz Kids from home. Raz Kids is a reading program online. It can be accessed from many devices (i.e. computer, iPad, etc.) and is a great way to get children interested in reading. Students are able to listen to a book (by clicking on the ear symbol), read a book (by clicking on the eye), record a book, and answer questions about a book they have ready once they reach Level A (by clicking on the question mark - questions can also be read to the student by clicking the appropriate symbol). As the teacher, I am able to access student reports to see how everyone is doing. By following the steps on the sheet that was sent home today, parents/guardians are also able to have access to their child's progress. As a reward, students earn stars (more starts are earned if a book is read rather than listened to) which can be used to buy things for the Raz Robot and Rocket!
