We trust everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the week ahead. Here are a few important dates coming up which you may want to mark your calendar for.
This coming Friday (May 01, 2015) will be our first school "Walk-a-thon" . Students will walk outside around our school yard weather permitting. Half of the proceeds raised will go toward our "Outdoor Classroom". The week of May 4- 8th is Education Week. We will kick off this special week with a fun and exciting concert from our friend "Yaki". On Thursday, May 7th is our Open House which will take place from 8-9:30 a.m. (more details to follow) On this day, students are encouraged to wear our school colors (green and white) Have a wonderful week! This week has been filled with wonderful, authentic learning moments. We hope these pictures give you a snapshot of all the great things that are taking place in our classroom. Next week, is Earth Week at our school. Everyday of the week, we will be celebrating the earth in a special way. Here is what our week will look like.
Monday, April 20th: Water day. Please wear blue. Tuesday, April 21st: Energy Day. Please wear red, blue or yellow. Wednesday, April 22nd: Earth Day. Please wear green. Thursday, April 23rd: Air Day. Please wear white. Please note that Friday, April 24th is a PD day. Lastly, kindergarten registration for the upcoming school year is ongoing. Should you or anyone you know, have a child that will be four years old by December 31st, 2015, please drop by the school office to pick up a registration form. Have a blessed weekend. We hope everyone had a restful and blessed Easter weekend. This week was a busy one but nonetheless a fun filled one full of beautiful learning moments. We had a Gospel Values Assembly this morning and we honored two of our friends who consistently demonstrate the value of "Faith". We have been busy looking for shapes all around us as well as adding things to our classroom to make it more spring like (although the snow on the ground this morning didn't really help! :) )
A gentle reminder to make sure your child has a change of clothes at school. With the spring weather comes mud and rain. Many times after our morning recess, some of our little friends need to change their socks, pants etc. Also, please make sure the clothes that are at school still fit. It's amazing how much the children have grown since September!! Thank you/Merci as always for your continued support. Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy the warmer weather! |
