Welcome back!! We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and restful March break. We were happy to be back together again today and we did not waste any time getting down to business. Our salon/spa has come to an end (the girls are sad but the boys are so happy! :) ) We have a new inquiry happening...we all voted this morning on what to turn our dramatic center into next and the winner is......"An Aquarium!"
We cannot wait to start creating and learning!! If any parent has anything you think might be useful for our classroom aquarium (play fish (or real :)), glass bowl, seashells, etc. ) and you wish to donate, we will be happy to put it to good use in our classroom aquarium. Have a great week! This week has been a busy but fun one! We've been busy writing in our journals, learning our body parts "en francais" and enjoying all the fun "spirit days". We particularly enjoyed "crazy hair day".....could this lead to a new salon/spa inquiry??? Mrs. Cusano would sure love that!! :)
We would like to take this time to wish you all a safe and restful March break. See you on March 23rd. Lately we have had several questions from parents about the Smartboard in our classroom. The Smartboard is like an interactive whiteboard that can be used for things as simple as writing and drawing to playing games or sharing pictures of learning that has taken place during the day. The Smartboard has so many great uses that it is definitely a wonderful thing to have in the classroom and we are very lucky it is there! If you have any questions about the Smartboard, please do not hesitate to let us know.
We are looking for a few items to help expand our science/sensory area and our art area. The children love getting messy, and we have quite a few concoctions that we would like to try!
We are in need of the following items:
We are also in need of some more Kleenex for our classroom. If you can donate any of the above items, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance :) Happy Monday! Here we are the week before March break and we are in full learning mode. We are very into making patterns with everything we can find as well enjoying using our bodies to make numbers! We are also learning to quickly recognize our French high frequency words all while having fun building the tallest tower we can make. Take a look!
Have a great week! Happy Monday! We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and is ready for the week ahead. Today was such a busy but fun day. Our Gr.4 buddies came to visit and we enjoyed writing and reading with them.
We have been busy learning the days of the week "en francais". This started after we read a story book called "Today is Monday". This book also inspired us to use spaghetti to "write" some of our letters. We also learnt today that a "dozen" means 12!!! Here are a couple of pictures to show you our learning as well as some pictures of our pajama day that took place last Friday. Lastly, please note that next week will be "Spirit Week " at our school. Here is a breakdown of the week. Monday March 9th: Pajama Day Tuesday March 10th: Dress up day for students/dress down day for teachers. Wednesday March 11th: Beach Day Thursday March 12th: Jersey/Crazy Hair Day Friday March 13th: St-Stephen Spirit wear (green and white day) |
